Mainstream Renewable Power has begun commercial operations at its 109.2 MW Ckhuri wind farm in Chile’s Antofagasta Region, following certification from the national grid operator SEN. The project, formerly known as Ckani, includes 26 Vestas turbines and is expected to generate enough electricity to power around 166,000 homes.
