José Ortiz, the incoming CEO of Puerto Rico’s Electric Power Authority (PREPA), has confirmed he will give a keynote address at CREF 2018. Since his appointment, Mr. Ortiz has met with senior federal officials and has affirmed his confidence that the federal government will not need to intervene in PREPA. He concedes, however, that “We have to move fast and we have to show results.” Mr. Ortiz will be joined on stage at CREF by Fernando Padilla, Director of the Office of Special Projects.
