Jamaica’s NWC seeks 51% water tariff increase to fund investment plan

Jamaica’s National Water Commission (NWC) has applied for a 51% tariff increase to help cover rising operating costs and finance priority investments. The utility cited growing expenses, including energy costs, and warned that its investment plan may need to be revised if the increase is not approved. The proposal is subject to review and public consultation by the Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR).
