A fund of US$20m will be given to Nicaragua from the Banpro Group Promerica and IDB Invest, the private institute of the Inter-American Bank, in the next five years.
This investment has the objective to expand the finance of Green Projects from Banpro, by financing projects that promote energy efficiency, renewables, and climate smart-agriculture initiatives. Through these projects, the government will aim to promote the efficiency and use of renewable sources to prevent risks associated with climate change.
