IDB approves US$250 million loan for rural electrification and renewable energy mini-grids in Guatemala

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has approved a US$250 million loan to finance the Rural Electrification Access Program in Guatemala, aimed at increasing electricity coverage in rural areas. The program includes developing mini-grids with renewable energy and energy storage systems, benefiting around 70,000 households
