The IDB Group and JICA have expanded their development-finance partnership to US$6.5 billion, which is expected to generate approximately US$7.5 billion in additional resources and bring total financing for Latin America and the Caribbean to about US$14 billion. The expanded framework adds agriculture and critical minerals as strategic areas of cooperation, while a new agreement will support health and care systems across the region.
