HIF Global begins assembling DAC unit at Haru Oni, the first e-fuels plant outside Europe to integrate the technology

HIF Global has begun assembling a direct air capture (DAC) unit at its Haru Oni e-fuels facility in southern Chile, in partnership with Porsche. The unit will remove 600 tonnes of CO₂ annually from the atmosphere to combine with green hydrogen for synthetic fuel production. Once operational, Haru Oni will be the first e-fuels plant outside Europe to integrate DAC technology,
