Marco is an Senior EHS specialist, specialized in process safety, with more than 25 years of experience in developing international Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), due diligences and project monitoring on behalf of International Financing Institution. Marco’s background is nuclear engineering with specialization on Industrial Safety and Protection and he was a contract professor assistant of Quantitative Risk Assessment at the University of Pisa (Italy). Currently, Marco’s work experience focuses on high risk/complex infrastructures (such as gas pipelines, power transmission lines and major road projects), as well as several industrial sectors including oil and gas industry, power generation from fossil fuels and renewables, petrochemical and chemical sectors. Marco is based in Italy and worked for projects located in over 20 countries achieving an excellent knowledge of the Lenders’ requirements and EU Directives. Experiences related to the hydrogen and other flammable gases, includes projects related to hydrogen production units within refineries and on-shore and off-shore facilities for LNG compression /liquefaction, LNG shipping by vessel, on-shore and off-shore re-gasification units, pipeline and compression units, underground storge of Natural Gas.
