Marcelo Mulo graduated from the University of the Republic, UDELAR (1999). He has a Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration from the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Administration (2002) and diplomas: CIEMAT-Spain Renewable Energy Management (2008), JICA-Japan Photovoltaic Energy (2010) and SEAS Electric Cars- Spain (2013).

He teaches the Introduction to Photovoltaic Solar energy course taught by the Regional Energy Integration Commission (CIER) and Member of the Evaluation Committee of the Energy Sector Fund of the National Agency for Research and Innovation of Uruguay (ANII)

He worked from 1991 to 2013 in UTE, the URUGUAY electricity company, training as a professional in the electricity sector and participating in the development of the first electricity transport and photovoltaic energy projects in UTE. From 2013 to December 2020 he was Executive Director of Tecnogroup, an EPC company in the Photovoltaic sector and currently serves as managing partner of M2G Soluciones, a company in the energy sector that provides turnkey solutions associated with the implementation of projects in renewable energy and energy storage, among others. He is president of the Uruguayan Association of Renewable Energies of Uruguay (AUDER).
