Asunción is Senior VP of Hydrogen Business Development at ENGIE and currently leads the development of renewable hydrogen projects in Latin America. Since 2015 she has led the development of renewable energy projects at ENGIE; in a first stage in Mexico and since 2017 in Chile. Asunción is a multicultural professional who stands out for an intense professional career, both in international experience in the energy sector and in various geographical areas of the world such as Europe and America. Her performance has allowed her to strengthen hers knowledge about various ways of doing business and thinking, and this is materialized in professional achievements and successes, such as the Calama Wind Farm, which has been ENGIE’s first renewable energy project in Chile. marking the starting line towards the Company’s energy transition. She has a degree in Law and a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Pablo de Olavide University of Seville, where she is from, and is also an MBA First Entrepreneurship from DePaul University of Chicago. Asunción is director of the H2 Chile trade association and founding member of the Association of Women in Renewable Energy Mexico, she is an Ambassador of Women in Energy after participating in the first edition of the program that World Energy Council (WEC) develops together with Deloitte, and mentor in Inspiring Girls Chile; is recognized as a highly talented, decisive, proactive professional with a strong focus on the client and results.
