Economist and Finance professional with a master’s degree in public policy and more than ten years of experience analyzing and developing regulations and public policies related to energy transition in Latin America.
Monica is an Energy advisor promoting the development of hydrogen projects in the LATAM region. On her past role, as President of the Colombian Hydrogen Association and General Secretary for the Latin American and Caribeean hydrogen alliance she focused on enabling a low-emission economy in the region.

Between 2019 and 2022 I worked in the Ministry of Energy of Colombia where I was in charge of leading several of the strategies for the Energy Transition of the country; I was the coordinator of the Energy Transformation Mission for the modernization of the electricity sector; the Geothermal initiative; and the Hydrogen strategy of the country. In the development of these strategies I led multidisciplinary teams composed of professionals from different areas of knowledge of the Ministry, consulting teams and delegates from multilateral entities. I have also worked in companies such as SerColombia, Ernst & Young, Fedesarrollo and ANDEG.
