“H2LAC brings together the most influential stakeholders in the sector, tackles the most pressing topics through dynamic panel discussions, and provides the perfect setting to connect directly with the key players shaping the renewable hydrogen industry in Latin America,” Erik Plaisier, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands
Supported by the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank and ESMAP, H2LAC is the largest gathering of the nascent clean hydrogen market in Latin America and the Caribbean on the annual calendar.
H2LAC attracts a unique cross-section of regional policy-makers and regulators, regional industry leaders and off-takers, providers of development and private capital, national and multinational energy companies, big industry, and global hydrogen industry leaders.
“The content, organization, and panelists were outstanding. Everything was truly excellent!” Mariela Beljansky, Secretary of Energy, Argentine Republic
H2LAC is your one-stop shop. Meet the regional hydrogen market – they’ll all be there – through numerous structured and unstructured networking/meeting opportunities:
New Energy has deep connections and over a decade of experience working in the Latin American and the Caribbean energy markets. New Energy was an early adopter of Hydrogen and launched – with the IDB – the Hydrogen Congress for Latin America & the Caribbean (H2LAC) in early 2021.
In February 2022, New Energy, in collaboration with the Hydrogen Association of Brasil (ABH2), launched H2-Brazil — one of the most significant gatherings for the domestic and international hydrogen markets in the country.
In April 2023, New Energy expanded its reach, hosting the inaugural Hydrogen Summit for the Caribbean (H2-Caribbean) as part of the Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF), the largest annual gathering of the regional energy market.
Additionally, in partnership with the Organization of American States (OAS), New Energy organized bespoke online training programs in 2021 and 2022 for government officials across Latin America and the Caribbean. These sessions focused on building hydrogen economies and national decarbonization pathways, with McKinsey & Co. serving as a key training partner.
New Energy is also the publisher, with Hinicio, of the annual Hydrogen Index for Latin America & the Caribbean, a groundbreaking study measuring progress towards the hydrogen economy on a country-by-country basis across the region. H2LAC 2025 will see the launch of the findings of the fourth annual Index.
