Annette Killmer is the IDB Country Representative in Brazil, where she leads a team of over 100 staff across the IDB Group’s offices in Brasília and São Paulo. She has more than 20 years of experience in operations and organizational change across Latin America and the Caribbean. Ms. Killmer previously served as Chief of the Strategic Development Effectiveness Division, where she led work on the IDB’s monitoring and evaluation methods. She also spent five years in Brazil as a Senior Sector Specialist in Natural Resources, and later served as Senior Advisor in the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department. Ms. Killmer holds a PhD and master’s in Environmental Science and Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a BA in Biological Sciences from Oxford University (Worcester College).
