Gilberto Peralta joined GE in 1980 as a process engineer at GE Aviation-Celma, in Petrópolis, Brazil. He then took several roles with GE in Italy and the United States, before becoming GE Aviation’s Vice President for the company’s Airbus program in France. In 2006, Peralta was appointed GE Capital Aviation Services’ General Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean, based out of São Paulo, Brazil. In addition to this role, he was appointed CEO of GE Brazil in August 2013, leading key strategic growth initiatives for the company and expanding GE´s historical partnership with the country. He accumulated both executive positions until June 2017. In April 2018 Peralta retired from GE after a 39 years of career in GE. On August 2018, Peralta was appointed Board Director at Azul Airlines. In July 2020 Peralta was appointed Chairman of the Board of Helibras (Airbus Helicopters Brazil). In August 2020, appointed as board director for the Ascensus Group. In September 2020, Peralta was appointed President of Airbus Group for Brazil. Peralta is graduated both in Civil and Mechanical Engineering from the Catholic University of Petropolis, Brazil. Also made all the managements courses at GE University.
