Corporate Decarbonization Planning Manager


Julia has been with Vale since 2024, currently serving as Corporate Decarbonization Planning Manager, where she leads energy transition initiatives and manages international partnerships to support the decarbonization of steelmaking for Vale’s clients (scope 3). Prior to Vale, she worked at GTRW Holding (2018-2024), leading M&A and deal structuring for investments in renewable energy, sustainable forest management, energy storage, and carbon offsets. Between 2009 and 2018, Julia held senior roles at MHFT Investimentos, where she was responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and executing complex M&A, structured debt transactions, and project finance deals for Private Equity Funds across diverse sectors.

Julia holds a Master’s degree in Economics from IBMEC, a TRIUM Global Executive MBA from New York University Stern School of Business (NYU Stern), London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and HEC Paris. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and certified in sustainability reporting through the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
