Igor has worked within Santander’s Project Finance team over the last 14 years, after working in HSBC and Credit Agricole. In Santander, Mr. Fonseca has been covering the Energy sector with the execution of several financial advisory and arranging mandates amounting to investments over USD 10 billion and a total installed capacity over 20 GW, including large hydros, gas-fired thermal power plants, wind farms, small hydros, photovoltaic and concentrated solar power plants in Brazil. Igor, who is a frequent speaker on sector conferences, has a recurrent dialogue with senior representatives of regulatory agencies, ministry cabinets, federal energy planning company, sector associations, as well as strong access to several financing sources, ranging from development banks, multilateral institutions, export credit agencies, infrastructure funds, commercial banks and rating agencies.  Mr. Fonseca holds a BA in Business Administration from the Faculty of Economics, Administration and Accounting of the University of São Paulo (FEA-USP) and is a native Portuguese speaker, fully proficient in English and Spanish.
