The Nature Conservancy (TNC), in partnership with Grenada’s government and international organizations, has inaugurated the island’s first Climate-Smart Fisher Facility in Soubise, St. Andrew. The facility integrates renewable energy, rainwater harvesting, and coastal protection measures to enhance the resilience of the local fishing community while mitigating climate change impacts. In addition to supporting fishers with secure storage and improved sea access, a planned second phase will include a jetty to address sargassum seaweed challenges.
