Greenwood Energy secures financing for 52 MWp private-indigenous solar project in Colombia

Greenwood Energy has closed financing for TERR Site I, a 52-MWp solar project in Colombia developed in partnership with the Arhuaco people, marking a pioneering private-indigenous renewable energy model in the region. With an investment exceeding US$50 million, the project includes two solar plants, a community governance structure, and a profit-sharing mechanism that funds land preservation managed by the Arhuaco community. Financing was finalized in late 2025 with support from Colombia’s National Development Finance Corporation and ImpactA Global, enabling construction to begin in the department of Cesar.
