Google is investing US$500 million to build an international digital exchange hub in the Dominican Republic. The project, including a new submarine cable network connecting to the US, aims to enhance AI innovation, improve digital connectivity, and position the country as a regional hub for cloud and data services, with construction set to begin in March 2026.
