Geocycle Plant in Costa Rica combines waste processing with solar power for sustainable cement production

The Geocycle plant in Cartago, Costa Rica, the largest of its kind in Latin America, processes waste equivalent to that generated by an entire city using co-processing technology to support sustainable cement production. A newly installed 718.62 kW photovoltaic system, developed by GoSolar, features 1,218 solar panels and generates approximately 942.8 MWh annually, further advancing the plant’s commitment to sustainability and a circular economy.
