Enel Colombia has begun commercial operations at its 256 MWdc Atlántico solar plant, completing a three-project solar complex with a combined capacity of approximately 985 MWdc. Located in Colombia’s Atlántico department, the complex includes Guayepo I&II, Guayepo III and Atlántico, with the combined facilities expected to generate electricity equivalent to the needs of approximately three million people. The US$200 million Atlántico project is expected to produce 525 GWh annually and created more than 2,500 jobs during construction.
