ENDE has awarded a pre-investment consultancy contract for the 120 MW Chichas Solar Plant in Tupiza, Bolivia, advancing development of what will become the country’s largest photovoltaic project. The study will support technical design and planning for the project, which is backed by US$110 million in financing from CAF. Once completed, the plant is expected to generate around 279,000 MWh annually, supplying electricity to over 300,000 people while reducing reliance on natural gas-fired generation.
