El Salvador’s state-owned CEL has inaugurated the 21.09 MWp Solar plant in Usulután, its second photovoltaic installation, developed with Inversiones Energéticas (INE). The US$21 million project, featuring 35,000 modules and 64 inverters, is expected to supply electricity to over 30,000 homes and create more than 200 jobs. CEL has also announced a third solar plant at the Cerrón Grande reservoir.
