Ecuador unveils US$2.43 billion energy expansion plan with 1.47 GW of renewables

Ecuador has unveiled its 2025-2030 electric power expansion plan, targeting 1,471 MW of new hydro, solar, wind, and geothermal capacity, along with proposed nuclear energy investments. The US$2.43 billion initiative includes 23 projects in partnership with private companies, with solar energy leading at 963 MW and US$913 million in investment.
