Ecopetrol Commits USD 50 Million in Projects to Decarbonize its Activity

The Colombian gas company, Ecopetrol, expects to commit USD 50 million in projects to decarbonize its activity, one of the most marked by the pollution it generates. Although continuing to maintain the same levels of oil extraction and extraction explorations does not fall into the framework of the energy transition strategy, their work in electricity production, controlled by the ISA Group, does. Ecopetrol maintains programs like the one with ISA as a strategy to ensure the impact of its operations is constantly diminishing. The company hopes to develop main energy plans for the decarbonization and production of renewables through ISA.
