Easter Island utility seeks bidders for 2.994-MW solar and battery storage project

Sasipa, a state-owned utility on Chile’s Easter Island, has issued a call for expressions of interest for a 2.994-MW solar photovoltaic plant paired with a battery energy storage system of at least 2 MWh. This project aims to reduce the island’s reliance on fossil fuels. The selected bidder will be responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of the solar-plus-storage system.
