Dominican Republic launches 600 MW solar and wind tender with mandatory storage and dollar PPAs

The Dominican Republic has launched its first tender for up to 600 MW of solar and wind capacity with mandatory storage, requiring all projects to include battery systems capable of at least four hours of backup. Winning projects, ranging from 20 MW to 300 MW, will sign long-term dollar-denominated PPAs, giving investors revenue certainty while ensuring reliable renewable integration into the national grid.
