The Dominican Republic has opened financial bids for a 600 MW renewable energy tender aimed at expanding wind and solar capacity while strengthening grid reliability through mandatory four-hour battery storage systems. The projects, which must come online within 24 months of signing long-term PPAs, will help supply the country’s northern, southern, and eastern grids.
