Dominican Republic installed solar capacity to double this year

This year, five solar parks for a combined 206MW are penciled in to begin operations in the Dominican Republic, joining the 163 MW of solar already online. The CNE (national energy commission) just granted provisional concessions for an additional 123 MW of solar energy projects. The developers have 18 months to conduct necessary studies and analysis of the sites.
