The Dominican Republic has strengthened institutional coordination for developing its hydrocarbon sector by signing a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Energy and Mines and the state-owned Refinería Dominicana de Petróleo (Refidomsa). The agreement sets up technical cooperation, joint protocols, and regular coordination mechanisms to advance exploration and management of oil and gas resources, align capacities, and improve environmental and operational standards in the sector.
