Cuba connects two solar parks, adding 43.6 MW to national electricity system

Cuba has connected two more solar parks to its National Electricity System (SEN), totaling 43.6 MW. The Calabazar de Sagua solar farm, with 21.8 MW, is located in Villa Clara, while the Santiago Rojas Salinas park, also with 21.8 MW, is situated in Baraguá, Ciego de Ávila. These additions are part of Cuba’s plan to build 55 solar parks by the end of 2025, aiming for a total capacity of 1,200 MW. So far, nearly 305 MW have been synchronized across 14 plants.
