Shanna Emmanuel is from Saint Lucia. Shel currently works as a Programme Officer in the Climate and Disaster Resilience Unit of the Environmental Sustainability Division within the OECS Commission. Prior to her working with the OECS, Shanna worked with the Government of Saint Lucia. First with the department of Fisheries as a fisheries biologist, focusing on sustainable financing and climate change in the marine sector. Then with the Department of Sustainable Development, as a Sustainable Development and Environment Officer with primary focus on climate change mitigation and reporting. While with the Government of Saint Lucia, she was a part of the team which developed an Electric Mobility project to electrify the government fleet. She passionate about climate action, and hopes to see the Caribbean be made into a climate smart region by 2030.
