Thirteen years ago, the Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF) began as a small gathering for stakeholders to explore opportunities to ramp up investment in clean energy across the Caribbean. Now – more than a decade later – CREF has grown to become the biggest annual gathering of the regional energy market. Why does the market turn out in force?
First, because all the players – the whole ecosystem – attends CREF, our delegates know that they’re going to have an extraordinary networking and business development experience.
Second, because we’re “in” the region throughout the year. We see the trends, we understand the opportunities, and we’re close to the people shaping the market. That translates into panels and workshops at CREF that provide real insight.
Third, things happen at CREF. Projects are originated and deals are financed. Many of the projects that have been constructed over the past few years began with a meeting at CREF.
We brought together the CREF community for a two-day virtual event on 27-28 October 2021, followed by the long-awaited CREF Miami six months later on 26-28 April 2022.
