Ms. Penelope Bradshaw-Niles is the Permanent Secretary (Ag) at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries. She has over twenty (20) professional years of experience in the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries and the public service of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Ms. Bradshaw-Niles holds a BSc. in Chemical Engineering and MSc. in Engineering Management from the University of the West Indies and an MBA in Petroleum Management from the University of Kansas. She was appointed as Permanent Secretary (Ag) in the Ministry of National Security during the period 2019 -2020, where she worked on various international, bi-lateral and national security matters. Ms. Bradshaw-Niles’ immense knowledge and experience of the energy sector is, because of, her many years of work at the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries. At the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, her portfolio included that of Deputy Permanent Secretary, where she successfully led a Team to develop the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries Strategic Plan for 2017-2021. She was also involved in the development of cross-border initiatives with Trinidad and Tobago and neighboring territories, such as Venezuela, Grenada and Guyana. Ms. BradshawNiles worked on a range of technical roles, during her career as a Petroleum Engineer, chiefly in the areas of Acreage Management, Competitive Bid Rounds, and the CO2EOR Roadmap Initiative. In her present capacity as Permanent Secretary (Ag), Ms. Bradshaw-Niles continues to manage the overall performance management of the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries as it relates to Policy and Performance Management, Strategic Planning Monitoring and Evaluation, Capacity Building and Stakeholder Engagement.
