The Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) said on Wednesday that it is working together with Costa Rican energy agencies to establish a route for offshore wind development in the Central American country. The trade association is implementing this joint initiative with the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Environmental Quality of Costa Rica (MINAE) and the Costa Rican Electricity Institute (ICE). The goal is to build knowledge about the local benefits of offshore wind.
