Copiapó becomes first South American city with 100% electric public bus fleet

The Chilean city of Copiapó has become the first in South America to run a 100% electric public bus fleet, with 121 electric buses operating on 12 urban routes powered entirely by renewable energy. The project, led by Copec Voltex, features an electric terminal, fast chargers, intelligent operational software, and modern bus amenities like air conditioning, USB ports, and universal access.
