Construction has started on a facility that will harness solar energy on the island of Anegada in the British Virgin Islands

Construction has started on Anegada’s hybrid renewable energy & battery storage system that will harness solar energy to power the island. The facility will have the capacity to supply around 2.9 MW of energy, relieving the BVI Electricity Corporation of the electricity subsidies it has been paying for years. The project will also make rates more affordable for residents of Anagada.
