Codelco secures US$532 million in climate financing to support full decarbonization by 2030

Chile’s state-owned copper company, Codelco, has secured US$532 million in climate financing from Crédit Agricole CIB, with a guarantee from the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) of the World Bank Group. The funds will support Codelco’s plan to fully decarbonize its energy matrix by 2030, which includes transitioning to renewable energy sources.
