China Three Gorges (CTG), through its subsidiary CTG Latam, has begun commercial operation of its 19.9 MW Nísperos solar plant in Colombia’s Atlántico department, marking its second operational solar facility in the country. Alongside the existing Baranoa plant and the soon-to-operate Bugambiles project, CTG’s Colombian solar portfolio will reach about 230 MW of installed capacity. Once fully operational, the three projects are expected to generate around 110,000 MWh annually, enough to power roughly 55,000 households.
