Chile’s new 2026–2030 Energy Roadmap targets 100% renewable electricity generation during peak demand by 2030 through electricity market reforms, expanded transmission, energy storage, and greater distributed generation. The plan aims to address growing grid congestion and renewable energy curtailment, which resulted in more than 6,000 GWh of lost clean energy in 2025.
