Chile Unlocks US$225M in clean energy investments with approval of green hydrogen project in Quintero Bay

Chile’s environmental ministers committee has confirmed approvals for a green hydrogen project and a power transmission development, unlocking a combined US$225 million in investment after both projects cleared environmental impact assessments but were delayed by appeals. The decision enables progress on a green hydrogen initiative in Quintero Bay led by GNL Quintero, which includes a 10 MW electrolyser to produce hydrogen for industrial use.
