Dr. Denise Braithwaite-Tennant is the Chief Executive of the Turks & Caicos Islands Hospital, InterHealth Canada and has over 20 year of experience in health care. She has been privileged to be at the forefront of initiatives that has driven hospital and health system development, people centred services and health innovation.

She is a results-oriented professional who has demonstrated that the strength of a health care system lies in the ability of leadership to leverage multidisciplinary teams, innovative technologies and adherence to evidenced based principles. Her vision for the Turks & Caicos Islands health system includes the harnessing of advances in the health
technology and infrastructure landscape to become more resilient, environmentally friendly, people centred and for the services to be delivered at the highest levels exceeding expectations both in performance as well as client value.

She graduated from the University of the West Indies with a specialist degree in emergency medicine. Thereafter she obtained a masters in International Management with a specialization in health sector management from the University of Liverpool.

Her interests include public speaking, empowering women and the delivery of leadership development programs.
