Mr. Hampton is an Associate at Cadmus, where he leads the Latin America and Caribbean climate resilience and adaptation portfolio. Mr. Hampton has 25 years of experience as a planner and architect, is an expert in coastal resilience and ecological approaches including nature-based solutions and is a leader in the climate change adaptation community of practice. He has guided international and U.S. domestic federal, county, and municipal government clients through energy efficiency, post-disaster recovery, long-term development, climate resilience, and adaptation strategies for inland, riverine, and coastal zone infrastructure, assets, and at-risk populations. Projects include multilateral development bank-funded support to national government climate resilience and adaptation planning efforts in the Marshall Islands, Dominica, and the Caribbean; leading post-hurricane recovery efforts in the Caribbean for the United Nations; and aiding in Haiti’s post-earthquake recovery. Dave is a member of the American Society of Adaptation Professionals and is a graduate of Virginia Tech and the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
