Canadian-led project brings solar power and connectivity to remote Peruvian communities

Remote communities in Peru’s Andes and Amazon are gaining access to solar electricity and internet connectivity through a project led by Canadian charity Light Up The World (LUTW). The initiative installed off-grid photovoltaic systems and battery storage at an Andean school in Huarcaya, improving educational services for 150 students and over 15 teachers, while overcoming logistical and climatic challenges at high altitudes.
