Brazil launches energy transition program to boost renewables and sustainability

The Brazilian government has established the Energy Transition Acceleration Program (Paten) to promote sustainability and renewable energy adoption. The program includes a Green Fund, managed by BNDES, allowing companies to use federal receivables as collateral to finance low-carbon projects. Paten also supports energy infrastructure modernization, carbon capture research, and workforce training, positioning Brazil as a leader in clean energy innovation.
