BNDES approves US$447.8 million loan to support the construction of a solar complex by Atlas Renewable Energy

The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) has approved a loan of US$447.8 million to support the construction of a 768 MW solar complex developed by Atlas Renewable Energy. The project is a part of Brazil’s new growth acceleration program (PAC) and will generate 2 TWh per year, powering over 3 million people and offsetting 2.4 million tonnes of equivalent carbon dioxide over a 20-year period.
