BNDES has approved US$26 million in financing for four industrial effluent treatment plants with biogas production at Grupo Piracanjuba’s facilities. The funding will also support the replacement of fossil fuel-based boilers at two factories. Once operational, the plants will produce up to 11.7 million cubic meters of biogas annually, offsetting approximately 152,700 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
