With nearly a decade of experience in sustainability and having worked for some of the world’s leading organisations on the topic, Klaas provides a unique skill set and global network at the intersection of conservation, finance and policy expertise. Based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Klaas is passionate about the global ocean and taking a creative approach to tackling some of the biggest sustainability challenges we face.

Through a formal education in both marine ecology and environmental policy, and having worked in Southeast Asia, Latin America, Europe and North America, Klaas offers a global perspective on sustainable development and the ocean, with particular expertise in marine governance, the science-policy interface and financing sustainable fisheries.
