The new international airport in Barbuda is set to open soon, with the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority (ECCAA) granting approval for commercial flights. The US$14 million project includes a 6,100-foot runway, which is planned to be extended by 2,000 feet to support larger aircraft.
