Anguillan hotel completes solar PV installation

The Frangipani Beach Resort in Anguilla, British West Indies, has completed a renewable energy project which will power 70 percent of the resort.

Eight hundred PV solar panels will provide 370 KWh of energy. One of the main feature of the resort -and one of the first the guests will see upon arrival- the installation was built to withstand hurricane-force winds.

The Frangipani Beach Resort was also fitted with storage technology and smart meters, as well as LED lighting and other energy-efficient measures and appliances.

SwitchLogix designed and implemented the project.

This project highlights the benefits of investing in clean and renewable energy for businesses and stakeholders in the hospitality business, where the demand for sustainable tourism is on the rise.
